Cab Hero is a game from Purplecore Software Systems Pvt Ltd. This page explains the information used by the game and this website. The game does not require a player account.

Your location and maps

The game may ask for location permission when it starts, to centre the map near you. You can decline and choose a starting place manually. Follow Me mode uses your location and device motion while the app is in use. Location and motion updates stop when the app goes into the background.

Map downloads, place searches and route requests send the relevant map area, search text, or start and destination coordinates to our map service. These may describe your real location when you use location-based features. The map picker also requests map tiles from OpenStreetMap; that service receives the requested map area and your network address. Opening a location in Apple Maps shares that location with Apple Maps.

Your saved game

Progress, in-game currency, vehicle information, missions, destinations, settings and cached maps are stored on your device. We do not provide an account-based cloud-save service. Your operating system’s backup settings may also apply to app data.

Game content and diagnostics

To deliver in-game billboard artwork, the game creates a random installation identifier and sends it to our service with content request and delivery acknowledgements. This is not your advertising identifier or hardware serial number. The service keeps content-delivery records associated with that identifier. Artwork is downloaded from the content locations supplied by our service.

The game automatically sends operational diagnostics while it is active, including platform, app version, map download and cache counts, errors, and performance timings. Each diagnostic batch has its own random identifier; these batches do not include your installation identifier or coordinates.

How information is used and shared

We use this information to provide maps, routes and game content, maintain service reliability, investigate failures and protect against abuse. Network services process IP addresses when responding to requests. Hosting providers help us operate these services. OpenStreetMap and Apple apply their own privacy policies to the requests they receive.

Cab Hero does not use a third-party advertising SDK or link your installation identifier with information from other companies for targeted advertising.

Retention and your choices

Our map service keeps aggregated performance measurements for seven days and diagnostic batch identifiers for one day. Map data may be cached for reuse. Content-delivery records, some operational records and backups do not currently have a fixed automatic deletion period.

You can deny or revoke location permission in your device settings. Removing the app removes its locally stored game data, subject to operating-system backups. Server records and backups are separate; contact us about access or deletion requests. We may need additional information to locate a record because the game has no player accounts.

This website and support

This game information website does not use advertising cookies, analytics scripts or visitor accounts. The hosting server may keep access and error logs. If you contact Purplecore, we receive the details you submit so we can respond. Please do not send passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.
